The end of IPv4

04 Feb

This week IANA finally allocated the last available IPv4 addresses.

This means that IPv4 is now officially all dried up, and it’s time to start looking at IPv6.

Oh good, 128-bit addresses. Wonder if I’ll ever be able to remember IPv6 addresses off the top of my head as I did IPv4 (which uses – sorry, used – 32-bit addresses)!
